NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF REGULAR ELECTION BY THE DESIGNATED ELECTION OFFICIAL FOR THE SOUTH FORT COLLINS SANITATION DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the South Fort Collins Sanitation District, Larimer County, Colorado, that at the close of business on March 4, 2025, there were not more candidates for Director than offices to be filled, including candidates filing affidavits of intent to be write-in candidates; therefore, the election to be held on May 6, 2025, is hereby cancelled.

The following candidates are declared elected:

J. Ernest Brown Four Year Term

James Stewart Four Year Term

Gary Young Four Year Term

Jeffery C. Brauch Four Year Term

Eligible Elector Definition

Any person wishing to vote in a SFCSD election or run for the Board of Directors must meet the following qualifications:

• Must be registered to vote in general elections in the State of Colorado.
• Must be 18 or more years of age.
• Must be one of the following:
  • A resident within the boundaries of the SFCSD for not less than 30 days.
  • Own, or have a spouse or civil union partner that owns, taxable real or personal property within the District.
  • Obligated to pay taxes under a contract to purchase taxable property within the boundaries of the District or an area to be included within the District.

To request an absentee ballot, please complete the SFCSD Application for Absentee Ballot for the election you are requesting an absentee ballot. Please return forms by mailing or dropping off at 2560 E County Road 32, Fort Collins, CO 80528, or by emailing the Deputy Designated Election Official at prupp@cogovlaw.com.
